As we keep track of the medal count from Sochi, Russia, we'll also see which group of Newton Falls Patrons can earn the most medals. It's the teens, against the adults, against the kids, and the kids are already in the lead.

Bobsleigh -- This is a team sport! Read a book with someone else.







Ski Jump -- Try out a book that is above your reading level.





Freestyle Skiing -- Read any book you like.





Hockey -- Assemble a team. Read a book with a group and talk about it.




Speed Skating -- Listen to an audiobook. Books on CD are available at the library and digital audiobooks are available here.





Curling -- Read a book about a subject you know nothing about. Try something new.





Cross Country Skiing -- Read about another country or culture.





Skeleton -- Enjoy a scary story.

Snowboarding -- Read a book about winter, sports, or winter sports!





Figure Skating -- Read a mystery and "figure" it out.





Nordic Combined -- Read a co-authored book.

A girl named Tris, has realized that something is going on with the Erudite. My favorite character is Tris because she is Dauntless which means bravery. I liked this book because it had a lot of action and you figure out a lot of things.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

A girl named hazel Grace has cancer and meets a boy name Augustus. they fall n love but Hazel becomes even sicker. Augustus becomes sick too but his cancer spreads everywhere. My favorite character is Augustus Waters because he looks into life and lives his life to fullest. He doesn't have a care in the world. he makes people smile and cares about others. I loved this book because it shows a lot of life lessons. Eve the lowest of times it will be okay.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins

Sophie performed a love spell and it was too powerful. She was sent to Hecate hall and she was roomed with the only vampire in the school. There more killings. My favorite character is Archer because I like his name and he is really sarcastic. I see a romance brewing between Sophie and him. I liked this book because it is suspenseful and romantic with Sophie and Archer.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

Greg's best friend Rowley finds a girlfriend who turns Rowley from being immature to being proper. Greg tries to fit into other groups but it doesn't work. He tries to "Find a Friend" button. My favorite character is Manny because he is so cute and funny to me. I loved this book.

Miranda almost dies and her angel saves her. There is an angel who is really hot and really crazy vampire. My favorite character is Zachary because he is hot and muscular and everyone stares at him. I loved this book because it was scary and thrilling. Also it was aggravating because they didn't do what you wanted them too.

Katniss is a girl from District 12 (the poorest district) and her sister gets chosen for the Hunger Games (a game where people fight to the death for fame and for their district.) Katniss volunteers as tribute and the boy chosen to for the Hunger Games is Peeta Mellark. A long time ago he tossed her bread, and she is really grateful. Then, at the interview, he shays he is in love with her. and she gets really mad. During her training session she shoots an arrow at the Game Makers and gets an 11. All the other tributes really hate Katniss and get Peeta to join the Careers. Katniss and a girl named Rue become allies and they make a really good team. Then Claudius Templesmith says there is a rule change where two tributes from the same district can win the Hunger Games.

My favorite character is Ivan because he is evil. I loved this book because it is so addicting. There is a love pentagon (instead of triangle.)

Hazel, a sixteen year old girl with lung cancer, goes to a support gorp with other cancer kids and meets Augustus, a seventeen year old guy who lost a leg. They fall in love. My favorite characters are Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace because they are very deep when they talk about things and even though they know they're going to die, they try not to focus on that, and just make the most of life. I loved this book because there's so much meaning behind everything said. It's not like most cancer books. It's unique.
